The Gellman Team's Immediate action re: COVID-19

These are unprecedented times and uncharted waters. I by no means have the answers, solutions or even know the exact right thing to do or say. However, the one thing I can tell you for sure and unequivocally is that "We are here as a team for you" We will support you in every way possible, and in anyway necessary for you to make it through this challenging time. Each and every team member and client will handle this differently, which is perfectly OK. There is no right or wrong way to handle. My prayer for each and every one of you, is to stay healthy both physically and mentally.

Immediately, we are going to be responsible and for the time being, we will have training, team meetings and 1 on 1 s via zoom (this will allow all team members to make their own schedules and many who have children home for extended stays will make life a tad easier). For those in operations, over the next couple days, we will have a focus on working at home, again for health and ease of unexpected children schedules and other. There will be certain challenges, but nothing that we can't overcome. I am not limiting the use of either office, I simply want to ensure "social distancing is followed within the office" and if you are not feeling 100%, please please do not come in the office. We will continue to sanitize and disinfect.  Again, we will make this work and happy to chat with anyone re: ideas or other.

Although everyone is being overwhelmed with COVID-19 news, we continue to see significant buyer and seller activity; with many homes still going under contract, in the St. Louis and surrounding markets.  With that being said, we want to ensure that buyers/sellers/agents are diligent, responsible, precautionary and respectful.  We have created the below protocol in response to the significant real estate market activity still occurring. 

Regarding showings, we just received sanitizer for every house. Please save receipts and we will reimburse you for sanitizer and gloves used for the company's and client's health and safety.  In addition, we are offering virtual showings to any and all client’s.

We will hold off on all in-home marketing materials (i.e. brochures, seller’s disclosures, feature sheets and marketing cards) for the time being.  All materials will be uploaded on the listing’s dedicated website. 

Agents should be utilizing the following emails for all showings: Our client's should be aware of these protocols and showingtime has been updated for showings, to reflect the aforementioned and below protocols.

We have temporarily suspended physical open houses, as we have less control over visitors and do not want multiple groups through the home at the same time.  Private showings and Virtual showings, along with Virtual open houses, are our preferred methods in this environment.

1) For emails to agents showing our listings -  (we are supplying each home with sanitizers and other): In an effort to be proactive regarding the well-being of others, we respectfully ​request the use of hand sanitizer, by both you and your client(s), prior to entering ​any Gellman Team listings​. ​In addition, we would greatly appreciate your limiting the opening of drawers/doors​, ​whenever possible. Following this protocol is simply another means by which we can all help prevent the spread of the ​coronavirus. ​

2) For emails to clients whose homes are being shown: In an effort to be proactive regarding the well-being of others, and to put your mind more at ease during the showing of your home, we have respectfully requested the use of hand sanitizer, by both the agent and their client(s), prior to entering any Gellman Team listings. In addition, we are discouraging the opening of drawers/doors, whenever possible, as another means of helping to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

3) ​For emails to clients who will be meeting agents at or going with them to open houses:In an effort to be proactive regarding the well-being of others, and to be respectful of the people whose homes you will tour, we kindly request the use of hand sanitizer, by both you and your agent, prior to entering any Gellman Team listings. In addition, we would greatly appreciate your limiting the opening of drawers/doors, whenever possible. Following this protocol is simply another means by which we can all help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
